Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)


In this event, you will open up the PC and install and configure new hardware. Specifically, you will work through the following process:

 

  • Identify the correct device type for a given PC
  • Plan the step by step procedure of an installation
  • Prepare for installation using proper anti static and electrical safety techniques
  • Install hardware and software in the correct order
  • Configure software as needed
  • Test and optimize if needed
  • Troubleshoot if necessary 

Oracle Database Certification 


In this event, you will learn about the fundamental concepts of a relational database management system (RDBMS). You will be able to retrieve data from an Oracle database. Specifically, you will work through the following processes:

  • Log onto an Oracle Database using SQL*Plus
  • List the tables in the database
  • Describe the structure of a table
  • Retrieve data from a table using a Select command
  • Perform projection to retrieve selected fields
  • Sort output by using the Order By clause
  • Perform calculations using the Select command
