Below are New Horizons of Boston Cancellation and Refund Policies.

Re-take Policy

The New Horizons Learning Guarantee allows you to retake any class as many times as you like for up to 6 months from the date of the original enrollment. Availability in class will be determined on the day of the class. If you wish to repeat a class, you must bring your original courseware. Also, students who attended the original class can only be allowed into class again as retake, no substitutes are allowed. New Horizons reserves the right to charge $50 for Applications classes and $100 for Technical classes for retakes who cancel outside the cancellation policy.


Open Enrollment and Mentored Learning Cancellation Policy

New Horizons requires written cancellation notification: New Horizons requires ten (10) or more business days, in advance of your scheduled class date, should you wish or need to cancel/reschedule your training, in order for us to secure a full refund of your investment. If written notice is received less than ten (10) business days, the full amount of your invoice must be paid. See Learning Guarantee below for further information on our retake policy.

Onsite, Dedicated and Room Rental Cancellation Policy

New Horizons requires written cancellation notification for Onsite, Dedicated and Room Rental training ten (10) or more business days in advance of your scheduled class date, should you need to cancel or reschedule your training. This will secure transfer or refund of your investment. If written notification is received in less than ten (10) business days, full payment will be required if a cancellation or schedule change is made. No refund will be provided without meeting these requirements.


Online LIVE Cancellation Policy

To receive a full refund for the course New Horizons must receive the New Horizons Online LIVE Learning Kit within 10 business days of the refund request. The kit must be returned in resell condition in order to get a full refund; otherwise the refund will be the purchase price less the cost of the New Horizons Learning Kit.


Red Hat Training & Certification Cancellation Policy

The policies below apply to all Red Hat training and certification programs:

Cancellation by a student:

  • Student will receive a refund only if Red Hat receives a notice of cancellation at least 15 full calendar days (not including the class/exam start date) before the class/exam start date.
  • Student will not be eligible for a refund if Red Hat does not receive a notice of cancellation 15 full calendar days before the class/exam start date, but the class/exam may be rescheduled or another individual may attend in Student's place. (see policies below for details).
Rescheduling by a student:
  • A student can reschedule a class/exam up to 2 times (fees discussed below may be applicable).
  • There will be no penalty for requesting a reschedule more than 15 calendar days prior to the class/exam start date.
  • Rescheduling requests made 15 full calendar days or less prior to the start date of the class/exam will incur a penalty fee of 50% of the MSRP. The penalty fee will be added to the student's original class/exam cost.
  • Classes/exams that are rescheduled either the first or second time within the 15 calendar day window cannot later be canceled. • New class/exam date must be chosen at the time of rescheduling. A rescheduled class/exam must start no later than 6 months after the initial class/exam start date.
  • If a student does not attend a scheduled session (no show), payment for the session is forfeited. The student may not reschedule the session.
  • Orders using training units (TUs) as the payment method are not allowed to cancel or reschedule within 15 (fifteen) calendar days of the class start date. This is an exception to the normal Red Hat terms and conditions for rescheduling/cancellation.

SATV Cancellation Policy

New Horizons requires written cancellation notification: New Horizons requires written notice ten (10) or more business days in advance of your scheduled class date should you wish or need to cancel/reschedule your training in order for us to secure a full refund of your investment.

Microsoft requires a student to attend their class in order for the Learning Partner to receive payment from Microsoft for the Software Assurance Training Voucher. Therefore, if written notice is received inside of ten (10) business days from the scheduled start date of your class, Microsoft requires the Learning Partner (New Horizons) to charge your company for the training so as a result we would send you an invoice for the full retail cost of your class.

Sunset Learning Cancellation & Refund Policy

Students who wish to cancel a registration need to submit a written notice to New Horizons at least 15 business days prior to the class start date. Students who submit a cancellation notice at least 15 days before the class start date may either get a full refund or reschedule for another class date. Students who submit cancellation notices less than 15 days business days prior to the class date will be charged 100% of the class tuition and will be allowed to retake the same course for up to 6 months.

All no show students will be charged for 100% of the tuition.


Standby/Late Policy

Waitlisted students will be admitted 30 minutes after class begins if a seat becomes available. If you are enrolled in a class and arrive more than 30 minutes late, your seat may be given away to a waitlisted student.


Future Media Concepts (FMC) Cancellation Policy

Students may cancel a class at any time, with the following conditions: If you cancel within five (5) days of registering, you will receive a refund of all monies paid provided that the program has not yet commenced. If you subsequently cancel prior to the commencement of the class, you will receive a full refund, minus fifty dollars ($50) for administrative costs. If you cancel during the first quarter of the class, you will receive a refund of seventy-five percent (75%) of the cost, minus fifty dollars ($50) for administrative costs. If you cancel during the second quarter of the class, you will receive a refund of fifty percent (50%) of the cost, minus fifty dollars ($50) for administrative costs. If you cancel during the third quarter of the class, you will receive a refund of twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost, minus fifty dollars ($50) for administrative costs. If you cancel during the fourth quarter of the class, Future Media Concepts is not obligated to provide any refund. If you desire to cancel a class, you must do so in writing, which will become effective the day it is mailed.

Rescheduling Policy
Students may reschedule a class at any time, with the following conditions: If you reschedule after five days of registering, you will be assessed a fifty dollar ($50) fee to cover administrative costs.

Payment
Payment must be received at least 5 days prior to class start date or 30 days from registration, whichever comes first. For anyone who registers within 5 days of the start date, payment is due upon registration. All course/s must be registered and completed within 1 year of registration date. If courses are not completed within 1 year of registration date, all payments and courses will be forfeited.


Skyline Advanced Technology Services Cancellation Agreement

Applies to the following Cisco Courses:

  • Administering Cisco Unified Communications Manager (ACUCM)
  • Administering Unified Messaging (AUM)
  • Cisco Communications Manager System Administration (CCMSA)
  • Implementing Cisco Unified Communications IP Telephony Part 1 v7 (CIPT1 v7.0)
  • UCCXD v2.0 Deploying Cisco Unified Contact Center Express v2.0
  • Implementing Cisco Data Center Network Infrastructure 2 (DCNI)

Cancellations with full refund will be allowed up to 10 working days prior to the start date of the course. Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Any cancellations received within those 10 working days will be refunded less a 50% non-recoverable charge. Registrants who do not attend the course and fail to notify New Horizons prior to the course start date are responsible for the full registration fee. You may transfer to a new class provided the tuition has been paid in full, and you notify New Horizons 10 working days prior to the start date of the course. Transfers must be submitted in writing. If you would like to transfer within the 10 day window, New Horizons will charge a 25% transfer fee (25% of total class).

Day of Class

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your class time. A picture ID may be required. If you are more than 30 minutes late, your seat may be given to another student. If you repeat a class, please bring the courseware manual from your previous class. Please mute cell phones and pagers prior to class.


Inclement Weather

We run classes on all but the most severe weather days. To inquire if your class has been cancelled or delayed due to inclement weather, please call (781) 487-3200 ext. 4.

Additionally, you may go to www.whdh.com to see if classes have been cancelled or delayed.  You can also register on www.whdh.com for a text message about our closing.  PLEASE NOTE:  Business closing are NOT announced on the radio or TV, only on the website!

In the event of bad weather, with our new OnlineLIVE technology, you may opt to take your class remotely if the option is available.  Please contact your account executive in advance to see if this option is available for your class.

If we are open during difficult weather, travel is up to the discretion of the student.
